St. Joseph School PALS Lead Teacher

Position Title:  St. Joseph School PALS Lead Teacher

Reports to:  SJS Principal and Early Childhood Director

GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:

The PALS lead teacher oversees the St. Joseph School after school program.  The PALS lead teacher is in charge of greeting and supervising all participating students.  A PALS schedule is provided and expected to be followed each day.

Major Responsibilities (including but not limited to, under Principal and Early Childhood Director supervision):

  • Working with students
  • Keeping all related bookkeeping
  • Following daily schedule
  • Communicating with parents when needed
  • Overall supervision of participating students
  • Keeping the  physical environment of the classroom clean and organized for the next day

HOURS-

3:00-5:30pm  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday on student contact days, 2:15-5:30pm Wednesday 

Principal pre-approval needed for hours worked outside of this time frame.

13-14 hours/week

Speech and Debate Coach

Loyola Sacred Heart High School in Missoula, Montana is accepting application packets for the following position:

EARLY EDUCATION PROGRAM: EARLY CHILDHOOD AIDE

St. Joseph School is seeking an Early Childhood Aide that is very outgoing, caring, reliable and able to work part-time hours in the morning/afternoon or able to work full-time.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:

All classroom aides' primary role is to work directly with students in the whole group, small group, or one-on-one instruction. Aides work under the direction of the lead classroom educator, and under supervision of the principal and the Early Childhood Director.

Major Responsibilities (including but not limited to, under teacher direction and Principal supervision):

  • Working with students
  • Clerical tasks
  • Correcting work
  • Center set up and clean up
  • Inputting into databases for attendance
  • Taking kids to and from specialist classes and restroom breaks
  • Recess duty
  • Coordinating and participating in field trips
  • Managing online sign-ups for parent volunteers
  • Assisting with online communication to parents overseen by lead teacher
  • Helping with physical environment of the classroom, i.e. bulletin boards, set up and break down

COVID-19 Precautions:

  • Personal protective equipment provided or required
  • Social distancing guidelines in place
  • Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place
