TUITION

Commitment & Affordability

Missoula Catholic Schools is committed to enrolling students from diverse social and economic backgrounds.  As part of this commitment, the school has established a strong tuition assistance program.  Families, each with unique financial circumstances, make a financial commitment so their children can attend St. Joseph and Loyola Sacred Heart.   Everyone welcome.  Everyone served.

Maximum Tuition Levels:

Kindergarten - 5th Grade: $6,855

6th - 8th Grade: $7,510

Fee Schedule:

New student transfer fee for records review; $100.

If your adjusted gross income is $100,000 or less, submit an online FACTS application to determine your tuition obligation. (See three step process below). If your adjusted gross income is more than $100,000 and you feel that the maximum tuition level would create a financial hardship at this time for your family, continue the application process.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

Our Companions Program is the process by which MCS lives out our commitment to enrolling students from diverse social and economic backgrounds. As part of this commitment, the school has established a strong financial aid program for families. Our Companions Program has one goal: to help make Catholic Education affordable for your student.  Do not let money be a reason why you do not apply. 3 in 6 students receive tuition assistance.

FACTS

The COMPANIONS program is a personalized, need-based program that asks each family to submit their financial information to a private third-party application.  The company is the nationally recognized FACTS Management Company and the MCS business and tuition office will walk through this entire process with your family.

COMPANIONS PROGRAM FAQ’S

After you fill out your FACTS Assessment, you will receive the assessment results and your tuition obligation.

The FACTS Company will verify your Gross family income by reviewing your most recent federal income tax return documents following completion of the FACTS grant and aid application.  Parameters within the FACTS application consider the following, but not limited to: gross family income, salaries, investment income, self-employment income, social security or disability, rental income, income or cash distributions from LLC's, S Corporations or partnerships, retirement plan or pension distributions, child support, multiple students, students in college, among other expenses and income.

In situations where a student's parents are not married, tuition will be calculated based on both parents' income, including any step parents, based on the family’s legal arrangements. Please be prepared to present legal documents at the tuition offices request. We can meet separately with each parent and can write separate tuition contracts if the family desires.

If your FACTS assessment comes back with a tuition obligation that is financially unattainable, schedule a meeting with our Tuition Officer to discuss additional tuition assistance. Every family’s financial situation is different and we are here to make Catholic Education work for you.  Do not let this assessment be a determining factor in your child’s enrollment.  Additional tuition assistance will be determined by the COMPANIONS Program Review Committee.  The committee will consider such factors as the number of students in Catholic grade schools; students in college; medical expenses; recent changes in employment, and any other unique situations. The COMPANIONS program Review Committee may award additional assistance and scholarships to help bridge the gap to your COMPANIONS program tuition level or make other adjustments to your tuition assessment that are equitable to you, the School and other MCS families.

The COMPANIONS Program Review Committee includes the President of the School, one of our Missoula Area Priest's, the MCS Controller and the MCS Tuition Officer.  All information shared with the Committee is confidential.

We respect the family’s privacy related to their financial situation.  All financial information, including the tuition obligation amount, is kept confidential and is stored securely.  Teachers, counselors, or other school personnel do not have access to this information.

We offer several payment plans and billing methods.
